Math is Marvelous
At Vincent Farm Elementary we strive to cultivate active, innovative, and strategic thinkers. Our project will help intermediate classes to solve rigorous problems in mathematics. Teachers and students will use smartpens to produce interactive digital pencasts of demonstrations of math procedures, solutions to word problems, explanations of their mathematical reasoning, and reflections on their thinking about their thinking. Students, teachers, and parents will be able to access these pencasts using the Internet at anytime.
